Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of floors, surfaces, restrooms, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers. Handle various cleaning agents safely, following chemical handling safety procedures to ensure effective sanitation without risking health or safety. Maintain cleanliness by dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and disinfecting designated areas according to established protocols. Operate custodial equipment including floor buffers, vacuums, and other cleaning tools to ensure optimal results. Assist with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or reporting larger issues to the appropriate personnel. Follow safety protocol adherence during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents and promote a safe working environment. Support heavy lifting tasks using proper manual handling techniques to move supplies or equipment efficiently and safely. Requirements Previous housekeeping experience is required. Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and chemical agent handling safety procedures. Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and commercial cleaning tools effectively. Strong manual handling skills with an understanding of safe lifting practices for heavy or bulky items. Excellent attention to detail with a focus on delivering high-quality cleanliness standards. Good communication skills with a friendly attitude towards clients and team members. Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks including standing for long periods, bending, lifting heavy objects, and performing manual labor as needed.
