Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Janitor to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our facilitie. In this vital role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and custodial tasks to ensure the highest standards of sanitation and safety are upheld. Your proactive approach and dedication will contribute to a positive experience for staff, visitors, and clients alike. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with janitorial or custodial experience who thrive in dynamic environments and take pride in their work. Duties Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal to maintain cleanliness across all areas. Handle chemical agents safely during cleaning processes, adhering strictly to chemical handling safety procedures. Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, and vacuums to ensure optimal floor care and sanitation. Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely while following proper lifting practices to move supplies or equipment as needed. Maintain facilities by performing minor repairs, restocking supplies, and assisting with general maintenance activities. Follow safety protocols diligently during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents or injuries. Support additional custodial duties such as window washing, restroom sanitation, and industrial cleaning when required. Qualifications Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings. Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and proper use of cleaning equipment. Familiarity with chemical agent handling safety procedures and safe lifting practices. Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks comfortably and safely. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills. Good communication skills with a customer service-oriented attitude when interacting with staff or visitors. Prior experience with floor buffing, floor care, or residential painting is a plus but not required.
