In this vital role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of custodial tasks to ensure a hygienic and welcoming environment for staff and visitors alike. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help uphold our high standards of sanitation and facility maintenance, contributing to a safe and productive workplace. Duties Perform routine cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas using commercial cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers. Handle chemical agents safely while cleaning, ensuring proper storage and adherence to chemical handling safety procedures. Conduct heavy lifting tasks following safe lifting practices when moving furniture, supplies, or equipment. Maintain sanitation standards by disinfecting surfaces, trash removal, and restocking supplies in restrooms and break areas. Assist with custodial maintenance tasks including minor repairs, painting, and general facilities upkeep to support overall building operations. Operate cleaning machinery efficiently and perform routine inspections of cleaning tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance. Follow safety protocols diligently during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents or injuries. Skills Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles with knowledge of commercial or industrial cleaning techniques. Strong understanding of cleaning procedures, sanitation standards, and chemical handling safety procedures. Ability to operate various cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and scrubbers effectively. Physical stamina for manual handling tasks including heavy lifting, bending, reaching, and prolonged standing or walking. Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with staff and visitors when needed. Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or painting is a plus.
