Job Description

The EVS Technician is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary hospital environment for patients, visitors, and staff. This position performs routine and heavy housekeeping duties in patient care and non-patient care areas while following infection prevention and safety standards. Flexibility to assist with laundry services as needed is required. Essential Responsibilities Clean and disinfect patient rooms, offices, public areas, restrooms, and other assigned spaces. Complete discharge cleaning of patient rooms and post-maintenance cleanup. Safely handle trash, biohazardous waste, soiled linens, and cleaning chemicals. Follow all infection prevention, safety, and chemical handling procedures. Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked housekeeping carts and equipment. Provide courteous customer service to patients, visitors, and staff. Work collaboratively with team members and other hospital departments.
Qualifications Required:
Ability to read, write, and follow instructions in English. Valid driver's license, reliable personal vehicle, and current automobile insurance.
Preferred:
High school diploma or GED. Previous commercial or healthcare housekeeping experience. Why Join Delta Health?
