Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Custodian to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our facilities. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring all areas are spotless, well-maintained, and compliant with safety standards. Duties Perform comprehensive cleaning of all designated areas, including floors, restrooms, offices, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies. Handle chemical agents safely and in accordance with established safety protocols to ensure effective sanitation without risk. Operate floor buffers, scrubbers, vacuums, and other custodial equipment to maintain high standards of cleanliness and floor care. Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely when moving furniture, supplies, or cleaning materials. Maintain supplies inventory by monitoring stock levels and requesting replenishments as needed. Follow strict safety procedures during all custodial activities to prevent accidents or injuries. Assist with minor facilities maintenance tasks such as residential painting or light repairs to uphold the facility's appearance and functionality. Skills Proven experience in commercial or industrial cleaning environments with strong custodial skills. Knowledge of janitorial procedures, sanitation standards, and chemical handling safety procedures. Ability to operate cleaning equipment including floor buffers and other custodial tools efficiently. Excellent manual handling skills with an emphasis on safe lifting practices. Strong customer service orientation with the ability to interact professionally with staff and visitors. Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks such as basic repairs or light painting is a plus. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to safety protocols at all times.
