Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across various areas such as offices, hallways, restrooms, and common spaces. Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, and vacuums to maintain high standards of cleanliness. Handle chemical agents safely by following proper chemical handling safety procedures and using appropriate personal protective equipment. Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling tasks in accordance with safe lifting practices to move furniture, supplies, or equipment. Maintain sanitation standards by disinfecting surfaces in high-touch areas like door handles, switches, and restroom fixtures. Qualifications Proven custodial or janitorial experience in commercial or industrial settings. Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation procedures, and the proper use of cleaning equipment. Experience with chemical agent handling safety procedures and understanding of chemical safety data sheets (SDS). Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following safe lifting practices. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple cleaning tasks efficiently. Customer service skills to interact professionally with staff and visitors when needed.
