What they do

A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Job Description:

The Janitor is responsible for cleaning and maintenance of the interior and exterior assigned property. Knowledge of the use of cleaning equipment and the proper handling of cleaning chemicals.

Work Environment:
