A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Required Qualifications:
Previous experience operating light maintenance and cleaning equipment (i.e. mowers, edgers, vacuum cleaners, scrubbers, extractors, etc.). Ability to move objects weighing up to fifty (50) pounds. Must be able to climb a six ft ladder. Must be able to independently follow written instructions. Must be competent, after suitable instruction, in the proper use of chemicals and compounds used in the custodial process. Must be competent, after suitable instruction, in the operation, care and use of all assigned custodial equipment.
BACKGROUND SCREENING
All prospective employees must submit to a Level 2 background check pursuant to Florida State Statute 435.04 and be found eligible by the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse. The background check will include, but is not limited to, fingerprinting for statewide criminal history records checks through the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, national criminal history records checks through the Federal Bureau of Investigation, local criminal records checks through local law enforcement agencies, and a search of the sexual predator and sexual offender registries of any state in which the prospective employee resided during the immediate preceding 5 years.
