A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Job Description
Job Summary Responsible for cleaning and keeping areas neat and tidy. Cleaning bathroom, floors, empty trash receptacles, and replace lining of trash cans. Primary responsibilities Sweep and mop floors. Clean by emptying trash, sweeping, and cleaning surfaces. Stock and maintain bathroom supplies Clean and disinfect common areas Sterilize as needed Use cleaning solutions to remove stains and clean surfaces. Mix various cleaning agents. Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors. Dust furniture and scrub surfaces clean. Clean and service restrooms and break areas. Identify and report possible repairs.
