Duties Perform comprehensive cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces to uphold cleanliness standards. Handle and apply various floor cleaning chemicals safely for tasks such as floor scrubbing, waxing, buffing, and refinishing to maintain pristine flooring conditions. Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, polishers, carpet extractors, and vacuum cleaners with precision and care. Conduct detailed floor care procedures including tile cleaning, carpet cleaning, floor waxing, and floor buffing to restore and enhance surface appearance. Manage chemical agents responsibly by following safety protocols for handling and storage to ensure environmental safety and compliance. Assist with heavy lifting tasks involving janitorial supplies or equipment to support efficient workflow. Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to client requests and maintaining professional communication throughout your shift. Requirements Proven experience in custodial or janitorial services with knowledge of commercial cleaning practices. Familiarity with floor care techniques such as scrubbing, waxing, buffing, and refinishing using appropriate equipment. Ability to handle cleaning chemicals safely, including proper use of floor cleaning chemicals and chemical agent handling procedures. Physical capability for manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or walking. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members. Prior experience in environmental services or custodial roles is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
