Under the direction of the Center Manager, the custodian ensures the physical environment is safe and clean for children and their families.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(included but are not limited to): Performs custodial duties to include vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, waxing floors, washing windows, cleaning walls, dusting, cleaning restrooms and emptying trash receptacles in classrooms, hallways, and offices. Maintains appropriate inventory of cleaning supplies and materials. Provides room set up for meetings, programs, and other activities. Replaces light bulbs, air filters, toilet paper and other supplies as needed. Maintains surrounding grounds by gathering trash and raking debris, Performs minor repairs. Secures building at the beginning and/or ending of the day. Monitors and operates the heating and cooling system.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The ability to walk for sustained periods of time including performing cleaning tasks and facility maintenance. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
