Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and energetic Day Porter to maintain the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of our commercial facilities. As a vital part of our facilities maintenance team, you will ensure that common areas, restrooms, lobbies, and hallways are spotless, well-organized, and welcoming for employees, visitors, and clients alike. Your dedication to sanitation and upkeep will help create a positive environment that reflects our commitment to excellence. Duties Perform daily cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, and restroom sanitation to uphold high standards of cleanliness. Maintain floors using buffers and floor care equipment to ensure surfaces are polished and safe for foot traffic. Handle cleaning chemicals safely by following proper chemical handling safety procedures and safety protocol adherence. Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap dispensers, and cleaning products to ensure availability at all times. Conduct routine inspections of the facility's interior and exterior to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards. Assist with light custodial tasks such as window washing, minor repairs, or painting as needed. Support general facilities maintenance including heavy lifting tasks using safe lifting practices to move furniture or equipment. Ensure all cleaning equipment is properly maintained and stored after use for optimal performance. Collaborate with janitorial staff or maintenance teams on larger projects like industrial cleaning or specialized sanitation procedures. Skills Proven experience in cleaning, custodial work, or janitorial services with knowledge of commercial cleaning standards. Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, and vacuums. Ability to handle chemical agents safely while following chemical handling safety procedures. Strong manual handling skills with experience in heavy lifting and safe lifting practices. Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with staff and visitors when necessary. Knowledge of sanitation protocols and facilities maintenance best practices. Experience with residential painting or industrial cleaning is a plus but not required.
