A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

The ideal candidate takes pride in maintaining clean, safe, and professional environments and is able to work independently while following established cleaning procedures and schedules. This position is responsible for maintaining assigned areas to company and client standards while providing dependable and consistent service. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning of offices, restrooms, hallways, common areas, and other assigned spaces. Sweep, mop, vacuum, and clean floors as required. Empty trash and recycling containers and replace liners. Dust and wipe down furniture, fixtures, doors, counters, and other surfaces. Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, partitions, and fixtures. Disinfect high-touch surfaces and maintain proper sanitation standards. Refill restroom and other facility supplies as needed. Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, mops, floor machines, buffers, and scrubbers when required. Perform basic floor care, which may include scrubbing, buffing, stripping, sealing, or waxing depending on the location. Use cleaning chemicals safely and according to manufacturer and company guidelines. Report maintenance concerns, damages, safety hazards, or supply needs to management. Follow all company and site-specific safety procedures. Maintain a professional and respectful attitude when interacting with clients, employees, and visitors. Complete assigned cleaning duties within the scheduled service time. Requirements Previous commercial cleaning, janitorial, custodial, or porter experience is preferred. Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work independently. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow cleaning instructions and checklists. Ability to safely use cleaning chemicals, equipment, and custodial tools. Ability to perform physical cleaning duties, including standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting as required. Must have a reliable smartphone and be comfortable using a mobile application to check in and check out for each shift . Employees must accurately record their arrival and departure through the company's mobile app as part of attendance and service verification. Must be able to successfully pass a background check. Reliable transportation to and from the assigned work location is preferred. Must maintain professional conduct while working at client facilities.
