Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented full-time janitor to join our team and provide cleaning services at a school during weekdays. This role offers an energetic work environment where you will play a vital part in ensuring the cleanliness, safety, and sanitation of the facility, contributing to a positive experience for students and staff alike. Duties Perform daily cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, and restroom sanitation to maintain high standards of cleanliness. Operate various cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and carpet cleaners to ensure thorough cleaning. Handle chemical agents safely by following proper chemical handling safety procedures and safety protocols. Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling of supplies, furniture, and equipment with safe lifting practices. Maintain floors through buffing, polishing, and other floor care techniques to preserve their appearance and safety. Restock cleaning supplies and ensure all cleaning tools are properly maintained for optimal performance. Support facilities maintenance tasks as needed to uphold the overall safety and functionality of the school environment. Experience Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or educational settings is preferred. Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and use of cleaning equipment such as floor buffers is highly desirable. Familiarity with chemical agent handling safety procedures and industrial cleaning practices is a plus. Experience with heavy lifting, manual handling, and following safety protocols ensures efficient and safe work performance.
