Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all designated areas. Handle various cleaning agents and chemicals safely in accordance with safety protocols to ensure effective sanitation without hazards. Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, and carpet cleaners to maintain floors in excellent condition. Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling of supplies, furniture, or equipment following safe lifting practices to prevent injury. Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, hallways, offices, and common areas by adhering to sanitation standards. Follow all safety procedures during cleaning activities to prevent accidents or chemical exposure. Assist with minor facilities maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs or reporting repair needs promptly. Skills Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles with a strong understanding of commercial or industrial cleaning procedures. Knowledge of proper chemical handling safety procedures and the use of various cleaning agents. Ability to operate cleaning machinery including floor buffers and other custodial equipment efficiently. Excellent manual handling skills with an emphasis on safe lifting practices for heavy objects or supplies. Strong attention to detail with a focus on sanitation standards and safety protocols adherence. Good customer service skills to interact professionally with staff and visitors when needed.
