The Comprehensive Behavioral Health Center of St. Clair County is located in East St. Louis, IL. The Center has been in operation since 1957 serving the needs of children, adolescents, and adults. Our mission is to provide quality individualized essential services for people in need of emotional, rehabilitative and social support. We strive to be the top-ranking Community Behavioral Health Center within its size, population and category within the State of Illinois.
Overview :
The Custodian is responsible for cleaning and maintenance activities inside a large, modern, commercial building.
Key Duties:
Keep building and property in clean and orderly condition Perform routine maintenance activities Perform heavy cleaning duties Sweeps, mops, scrubs, or vacuums floors Gather and empty trash Scrubs, sanitize, and supply restroom facilities Dust furniture, walls, and equipment Clean windows, mirrors, and partitions with soap and other cleansers Mix cleaning solutions and chemicals in containers in preparation for cleaning, according to instructions Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power machinery to prevent damage to floors and fixtures Clean and polishes fixtures and furniture Shampoo or steam-cleans carpets and rugs Manage inventory of cleaning supplies Notifies manager regarding the need for repairs or additions to building operating systems
Qualifications and Requirements:
Knowledge of standard cleaning methods and procedures Ability to stand, walk, and bend while on duty Ability to perform repetitive motion for long periods of time Experience with using cleaning equipment, including vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, and cleaning solutions Knowledge of occupational hazards safety rules Communication skills Ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders and work at heights Reports to:
