Overview:
POSITION SUMMARY
The EVS Tech I, in accordance with standards of quality, is an essential contributor to promoting a healthy workplace through disinfection and infection prevention. The EVS Tech I is responsible for performing routine cleaning tasks, while ensuring an organized and disinfected environment for employees and visitors. This role is also responsible for ensuring timely room cleans, especially as it relates to hospital patient throughput and responds favorably to requests to adjust daily workflow or area assignment to meet hospital/discharge flow needs.
Qualifications:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Skills/ Knowledge:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
High School Diploma or GED Experience:
6 months' experience in janitorial, housekeeping, or environmental services position
Licensure/ Certification:
Certificate in Non-Acute Care Cleaning (CNACC) certification or Certified Health Care Environmental Services Technician (CHEST) certification OSF HealthCare is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
