Saint Charles, IL Job Details $17 an hour 7 hours ago Qualifications Company vehicle operation High school diploma or GED Driver's License Vehicle parking operations Full Job Description Summary The Porter is responsible for moving and cleaning vehicles as well as responsible for ensuring that all vehicles are kept in sound working condition. The Porter is also responsible for supporting the general manager as requested. The individual in this role must be able to operate any type of and must be able to safely maneuver the vehicle around the parking lot and shop floor. The individual hired for this position must demonstrate sound judgement and the ability to apply common sense understanding. The Porter is also responsible for ensuring proper documentation of key tags, ensuring that all keys/fobs are returned to the appropriate individual. Additionally, the Porter is responsible for inspecting parts, equipment, and vehicles for cleanliness, damage, and compliance with standards and regulations and report accordingly to the proper individual(s). Essential Duties Maintains new- and used-vehicle inventory appearance and performance by cleaning interior and exterior of vehicles, and replenishing all vehicle fluids as needed Places buyer guides and stock tags in vehicles. Keeps new- and used-vehicle lots neat and orderly, moving cars as directed by the general manager and in accordance with dealership display standards. Sweeps, shovels, or vacuums loose debris or salvageable scrap into containers and removes containers from work areas. Inspects parts, equipment, or vehicles for cleanliness, damage, and compliance with standards or regulations. Drives vehicles to and from service lane and parking lot as needed. Other tasks as assigned. Qualifications Minimum 18 years of age Valid Driver's License Education and/or Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and six months + of related experience.
