A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Custodial Specialist Kansas State University $15.00 / hr United States, Kansas, Manhattan 1810 Kerr Drive (Show on map) Aug 10, 2026 About This Role This position exists to provide a clean and safe environment for students, faculty, staff and visitors at the Peters Recreation Complex. About Us Recreational Services' mission is to develop, promote and manage the administration of recreational and fitness facilities, services and programs for the campus community at Kansas State University. All employees must reside in the United States when they begin working to comply with state law. K-State is unable to provide remote or hybrid work opportunities for residents of the state of Idaho. Experience working in an institutional setting; Experience using commercial cleaning equipment; Stable work history; Knowledge in custodial procedures; Ability to work around a large participant and employee base; Ability to work with pressure of a schedule that requires adapting to a varying routine

Additional Role Information:
