Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Food Manufacturing Sanitarian to join our team. In this vital role, you will ensure that our production environment adheres to strict sanitation standards and food safety protocols. Your proactive approach will help maintain a clean, safe, and compliant facility that meets all regulatory requirements and supports our commitment to quality. Duties Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of production areas, equipment, and facilities using appropriate cleaning techniques and chemical agents. Handle industrial cleaning tasks with precision, ensuring all surfaces are sanitized according to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) standards. Manage chemical handling procedures safely by following established safety protocols for chemical agents used in cleaning processes. Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, masks, and protective clothing to safeguard yourself during sanitation activities. Conduct inspections to verify cleanliness and sanitation compliance across the facility, documenting findings accurately. Follow safety procedures related to chemical handling and respiratory protection to prevent contamination or accidents. Assist in maintaining compliance with food safety regulations by supporting GMP initiatives and sanitation audits. Remove trash from designated indoor areas and dispose of it appropriately. Experience Previous custodial or janitorial experience within a food manufacturing or industrial setting is highly preferred. Familiarity with industrial cleaning equipment and techniques used in large-scale food processing environments. Experience handling chemicals safely in accordance with safety protocols is essential. Basic math skills for measuring cleaning agents and recording inspection data accurately. Knowledge of GMP standards, food safety practices, and proper PPE use is advantageous. Warehouse or heavy lifting experience is a plus for supporting sanitation tasks in storage areas or during facility maintenance.
