Job Summary:

The Barren River District Health Department is accepting applications for a Part-Time CLEANER to work at the Hart County Health Department.

Overview:

Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of our facilities in various areas of each facility, such as offices, restrooms, waiting areas, and common spaces. You would be responsible for cleaning and disinfecting surfaces, emptying trash bins, restocking supplies, and ensuring safe and hygienic environment for staff and patients/visitors. Attention to detail and adherence to health and safety guidelines are essential in this role. This position is will be maintaining the Hart County Health Department Facility.

Duties:

Cleaning and sanitizing various areas in each facility Dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and waxing floors and surfaces to maintain cleanliness Emptying and disposing of trash and waste materials Restocking supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, and soap Collecting and disposing of trash from building and grounds Realigns furniture and equipment Following health and safety guidelines Reporting any maintenance or repairs to necessary personnel Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

Elementary education (defined as eighth grade). Preference will be given to candidates with previous janitorial experience. Travel will be required to other counties as needed after training is complete. Applicants must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license. The successful applicant will be required to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check. The minimum hourly wage is $13.50.
