EDUCATION:
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand verbal communication in English to follow instructions and perform daily tasks.PREFERRED
High school diploma or equivalent.EXPERIENCE
Experience operating environmental services equipment, including dust mop, wet mop, bucket and wringer, spray bottles, and dustpan.PREFERRED
1 year of relevant experience.TECHNICAL SKILLS
Basic knowledge of housekeeping, cleaning practices, and cleaning equipment/supplies. Experience using environmental services equipment, including dust mop, wet mop, bucket and wringer, spray bottles, and dustpan.OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand verbal communication in English to follow instructions and perform daily tasks. Ability to work a flexible schedule when needed. Ability to listen, take direction, and complete job tasks with minimal supervision. Must be willing to convert to permanent employment if offered. Must be able to work with and around acidic and alkaline chemicals, including but not limited to butyl ingredients. Mechanical lifting devices (carts, dollies, etc.) or team lifts should be utilized as appropriate. Role routinely requires exposure to blood, body fluids, and tissue and may involve occupational exposure to communicable diseases. Healthcare-setting duties may involve occupational exposure to hazardous medications or hazardous waste through receipt, transport, storage, preparation, dispensing, administration, cleaning, and/or disposal of contaminated waste.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain assigned guest, patient, public, clinical, and administrative areas in a clean and aseptic manner. Maintain the Environmental Services closet and equipment in a clean, aseptic, and orderly manner. Assist with restocking the cafe and bar where necessary. Assist with special cleaning projects and room turnover. Follow all current Joint Commission/CMS regulations pertaining to Environment of Care and cleaning requirements. Remain knowledgeable about and comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements. Follow the employer's Compliance & Privacy Program and Standards of Conduct, including immediate reporting of known or suspected unethical or questionable behavior, patient/employee safety concerns, patient privacy concerns, and other compliance-related concerns. Perform other related duties as required.
