Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance tasks, with an emphasis on quality and efficiency. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming to maintain cleanliness in assigned areas. Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, stripping, and waxing to ensure floors are well-maintained and presentable. Handle janitorial duties in both commercial and residential settings, ensuring all areas meet hygiene standards. Assist with industrial cleaning tasks as needed, including the use of specialized equipment for deep cleaning. Support facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs or issues that require attention. Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring they are stored properly and used efficiently. Provide porter services when necessary, assisting with the movement of furniture or equipment within the facility. Experience Previous custodial or janitorial experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates. Familiarity with floor care techniques and equipment is a plus. Experience in residential painting or facilities maintenance can enhance your application. A background in commercial cleaning or porter roles will be advantageous for this position. $20.00 - $28.00 per hour
