Summary:

This role provides general cleaning, routine housekeeping and light maintenance services in the building and on the property, including but not limited to the School's offices, classrooms, rest rooms, and dining hall/kitchen.​ Essential Functions include :

• General cleaning services: vacuum, mop floors, wipe soiled doors, door casings, window sills, and bookcases.
• Empty waste baskets, clean rest rooms, including stalls, sinks, and tiles; wash and disinfect bowls; replenish paper, soap and other materials; clean mirrors.​
• Provide a variety of maintenance functions such as trash pickup, grounds tending, snow shoveling, function set-ups and assist with light repairs.​

Supervisor Schedule:

The evening position is Monday through Friday, 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm (five shifts of eight and a half hours each with a 15 minute paid break and a 30 minute unpaid dinner break). Hours may be adjusted as needed, with notice.

Requirements :

• Ability to assume duties required of a physically demanding job; lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to climb step ladders up to 8 ft.
• General knowledge of handling basic tools.
• Regular and predictable attendance
• Able to work under limited supervision on a variety of routine tasks.​
• Ability to understand and follow instructions and routines.
• Ability to interact well and communicate effectively with a diverse group of faculty, students, school staff; other custodial/maintenance staff and the public as required by the role and as appropriate to assigned tasks.
• Residential or commercial cleaning experience preferred. ​
• Driver's license in good standing
• CDL preferred but not required.
• Ability to pass a CORI and Fingerprint background check.
