Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

POSITION
Senior Custodian
Granatino Early Education Center
10 Hours Per Week; Monday - Friday (not to exceed a total of 40 hours per week if currently employed by the district)
Hours to be determined by Director of Early Childhood Education and will be scheduled before or after student start/dismissal

QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma required. Knowledge of building mechanical systems.

Reliability, punctuality, ability to take direction, complete assigned tasks and take pride in the school facility being clean, safe and secure. Previous custodial or maintenance experience preferred.

JOB SUMMARY:
Successful experience and demonstrated ability in custodial work. Assists in sanitation control and checks safety hazards. Receives supervision from Director of Early Childhood Education.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Makes sure the custodian's area and supply rooms are neat and orderly; orders supplies.
Assists with removing snow from entrances and sidewalks.
Assists in control of sanitation.
Working knowledge and experience in minor maintenance repair work, which also includes painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, cleaning.
Assists in checking school for safety hazards and reports any deficiency.
Working knowledge and experience in the operation of building systems; HVAC systems, boilers, univents, electrical, plumbing and custodial equipment.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in a written manner; demonstrate ability to work well with the general public.
Maintains building and grounds security in the building each day.
Other duties that may be assigned by Director of Early Childhood Education and/or Assistant Superintendent for Business & Finance.
QUALIFICATIONS
Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds, bend, stoop, climb, and reach.
Previous custodial or maintenance experience preferred.
Knowledge of building mechanical systems.
Reliability, punctuality, ability to take direction, complete assigned tasks and take pride in the school facility being clean, safe, and secure.
Able to work cooperatively with administrators, teachers, parents and students.
