in Wellfleet, Massachusetts Posted in 1 day ago. The Town of Wellfleet, MA is seeking to hire a Building & Grounds Custodian in the Department of Public Works. This is a permanent, full time (40 hours per week) Teamsters Union position and includes some weekends and overtime opportunities. Schedule is Wednesday-Sunday (Mon/Tues off) during summer season (Memorial Day Mid September) otherwise schedule is Monday through Friday the remainder of the year; however is subject to change based on department needs. Responsible for basic maintenance and cleaning of town buildings, including town hall, library, fire & police station, transfer station office/scale house, beach bathrooms/sticker shack (seasonal) and public works building. Performing minor maintenance, including snow removal, on all pavement, cement walkways, driveways and parking lots as directed. Also performs all routine groundskeeping functions, including mowing & weedwhacking, planting, watering, weeding, mulching and trimming of all flower beds, plants & shrubs. This requires a Class D drivers license. Experience working as a custodian in the past is preferred. Depending on qualifications/experience, etc. the wage range is between $32.00-$34.2292 per hour plus an excellent benefits package.
