Full time position 2:00pm to 10:30pm
Pay $28.50 (after a 6 month probationary period) with $1.00 shift differential for custodians whose regularly scheduled work shift begins after 2:00 p.m. The differential shall not apply during the periods of the year such as school vacation periods when employees are scheduled to work a day shift, nor shall it apply during employees' vacation periods or in any case where a day shift employee is working on an overtime basis. Full time position split shift 11am to 7:30pm

OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE
To provide students with a safe, attractive, clean, comfortable and efficient environment to learn and develop. DUTIES and
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain cleanliness of buildings and premises, including sidewalks, driveways and play areas.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Must be able to climb ladders to clean or perform maintenance duties. Must be able to climb stairs from floor to floor to clean or perform maintenance duties.
- Must be able to work on knees to clean or perform maintenance duties. Regulate heat, ventilation, and air conditioning systems to provide temperatures appropriate to the season and to ensure economical usage of fuel, water and electricity. Maintain cleanliness of building interior and exterior surfaces on schedule as determined by the supervisor.
- Assure that all walkways, driveways, parking areas, and steps are clear and passable.
- Make minor building repairs and promptly report to the Director any major repairs needed
- Remain on school premises during school hours, and non-school hours when the use of the building has been authorized and attendance is required by the supervisor.
- Assumes responsibility for opening school in the morning, and/or closing school at end of day, depending on work shift. Assist Head Custodian in maintaining adequate inventory of materials needed to complete duties.
- Maintains and supports ongoing programs of general maintenance, upkeep and repair
- Moves furniture and/or equipment as required for various activities as directed by the supervisor.
Establishes and maintains positive professional relationships with other employees, department heads and visitors. Must be able to complete and practice all required training sessions as outlined by regulatory agencies such as Safety Works, OSHA, fire department and any other regulatory agencies. Conduct ongoing testing of safety equipment such as fire extinguishers, smoke detectors, emergency lights, sprinkler system, fuel tanks and boilers. Performs other duties and assumes other responsibilities as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
