at Five Town CSD and MSAD 28 in Camden, Maine, United States Job Description Camden Rockport Elementary School Custodian Full Time with Benefits About Camden Rockport Elementary School Camden Rockport Elementary School, nestled in a spacious setting with woods and fields adjacent to the high school, serves approximately 320 students in grades PreK-4 from the towns of Camden and Rockport. CRES is guided by the EL Education Curriculum and Bridges mathematics, and follows the Responsive Classroom philosophy. CRES has a robust system of supports for students, and features the first nature-based public PreK in the state of Maine. Position Summary Camden Rockport Elementary School is now hiring a year-round Custodian for our school. The normal work schedule for this positions is 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM. The successful candidate will be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekend rotation, and be willing to adapt to different assignments from day to day. Key Responsibilities Maintain a clean, safe, and functional environment within the school buildings and grounds, including but not limited to: General floor care and cleaning, Restroom maintenance, including sanitizing and stocking, Waste management, Window/Wall cleaning. Perform minor repairs to ensure the proper functioning of building systems. Aid in set-up for special events. Ensure clean school grounds, including litter removal. Aid with snow/ice removal as needed. Qualifications/Skills Knowledge of safety procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power machinery. Ability to perform a wide range of cleaning duties. Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and other staff. Time management and prioritization skills. Strong attention to detail. Dexterity in problem-solving. Requirements Background check, including fingerprinting. Maine Department of Education CHRC Approval.
