Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness, safety, and upkeep of our church facility. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming in designated areas. Maintain floors through proper care techniques such as buffing and waxing. Conduct janitorial duties ensuring high standards of cleanliness are met. Perform cleaning tasks as required, including the use of specialized equipment. Carry out facilities maintenance tasks to ensure the upkeep of the building's infrastructure. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly. Provide porter services as needed, including moving furniture or supplies within the facility. Qualifications Previous custodial or janitorial experience is preferred. Familiarity with floor care techniques and equipment operation is a plus. Experience in cleaning environments is advantageous. Knowledge of residential painting and maintenance tasks is desirable. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions effectively. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing time efficiently.
