In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of various commercial spaces, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for clients and staff alike. Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of floors, including scrubbing, waxing, buffing, and refinishing to maintain optimal floor care standards. Handle cleaning tasks across multiple surfaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents, ensuring safe handling practices. Conduct carpet cleaning and floor buffing to restore surfaces to their best condition. Use floor cleaning chemicals effectively while adhering to safety protocols related to chemical agent handling. Carry out manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting of equipment or supplies, following proper ergonomic procedures. Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, common areas, offices, and other designated spaces with attention to detail. Operate janitorial equipment efficiently, including floor scrubbers, vacuums, buffers, and other cleaning tools. Support environmental services initiatives by following eco-friendly cleaning practices whenever possible. Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to client requests or concerns related to cleanliness. Requirements Proven experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services is preferred; janitorial experience is highly valued. Knowledge of floor scrubbing, floor waxing, floor refinishing, and carpet cleaning techniques. Ability to handle cleaning chemicals safely and responsibly in compliance with safety guidelines. Physical stamina for manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking during shifts. Familiarity with various cleaning equipment including buffers, extractors, and vacuum cleaners. Strong attention to detail with a focus on maintaining high standards of cleanliness across all areas. Excellent communication skills with a customer service-oriented mindset. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
