The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. This position requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of school facilities, including classrooms, restrooms, hallways, and common areas. Sweep, mop, vacuum, and scrub floors to ensure cleanliness and safety. Dust and wipe down surfaces, including desks, windowsills, and furniture. Empty trash receptacles and recycle bins, ensuring proper disposal of waste. Assist with the setup and breakdown of school events, including moving furniture and equipment as needed. Monitor and restock supplies such as paper towels, soap, and cleaning materials. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel. Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment. Collaborate with other custodial staff to ensure efficient operation and cleanliness of the school. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous custodial or janitorial experience is a plus but not required. Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean environment. Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with students and staff.
