Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Cleaner Janitorial Worker to join our dynamic facilities maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of our commercial or residential spaces. Your energetic approach and commitment to high standards will help create a welcoming environment for employees, clients, and visitors alike. Duties Perform thorough cleaning of floors, windows, restrooms, offices, and common areas using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment. Handle chemical agents safely, following all safety protocols and handling instructions to prevent accidents or contamination. Operate floor buffers and other custodial equipment to maintain high-quality floor care, including buffing, stripping, and polishing surfaces. Conduct industrial cleaning tasks such as deep cleaning carpets, upholstery, and hard surfaces to uphold cleanliness standards. Assist with facilities maintenance tasks including light repairs, trash removal, and restocking supplies to ensure operational efficiency. Follow safe lifting practices when moving heavy objects or equipment to prevent injury during manual handling activities. Maintain detailed records of cleaning schedules, supplies used, and safety procedures followed to ensure compliance with company policies. Qualifications Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings. Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment operation (including floor buffers), and chemical handling procedures. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently while adhering to safe lifting practices. Familiarity with industrial cleaning methods and facilities maintenance tasks. Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness standards. Excellent manual handling skills combined with the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Prior porter or facilities maintenance experience is a plus but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
