What they do
A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for the quality of product before final shipment Continuous improvement in support of department and company goals Supports, participates and encourages team building Operates machinery for cutting and punching plates Places workpiece on table manually or by using overhead cranes Aligns workpiece to scale and end gauge on machine and clamps it to the table Provides feedback, both positive and negative, to the team, other related departments and the supervisor Promotes a positive work environment Follow all Porter Corp. procedures and policies Work safely and efficiently Stay customer focused Perform other duties as assigned Education and/or Experience This position requires a knowledge of basic machine operation methods to ensure a quality product is delivered to all customers Work requires a high school diploma or equivalent Knowledge of saw, CNC, punch, welding and beveling Travel This position requires minimal to no travel Computer Skills Basic computer skills Demonstrated proficiency using EPICOR ERP or similar systems Other Requirements Able to read blue prints Able to read measuring tools Very good interpersonal skills Must be open-minded to new ideas and concepts Possesses very good problem-solving skills Must be self-motivated and results oriented Other Skills Timeliness of work completion Compliance and execution with company policies Limit lost time Development and participation in scheduling systems that provide a smooth interface between disciplines Reduction in lead time to the customer from order to delivery Adhere to and enforce all safety policies as determined by Porter Corp.
