This individual will be responsible for routine cleaning, basic maintenance, and preparing spaces for events and activities. Key Responsibilities Perform daily and weekly cleaning of church facilities, including restrooms, classrooms, offices, kitchen areas, and common spaces Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize surfaces as required Empty trash and recycling throughout the building Restock restroom and cleaning supplies Light maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, minor repairs, or reporting larger maintenance issues Set up and take down tables, chairs, and equipment for meetings, worship services, and events Ensure building security by locking and unlocking doors as scheduled Maintain outdoor entryways (e.g., clearing debris, light snow/ice removal if needed) Follow safety protocols and proper use of cleaning materials and equipment Qualifications Prior custodial or facilities experience preferred but not required Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and perform physical tasks Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently Respectful of the church environment and its ministries Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism Work Environment This role involves working in a church and preschool setting, often during non‑service hours.
