Cleaning Crew Worker Position Summary We are seeking dependable and hardworking Cleaning Crew Workers to join our team at an egg processing facility. The Cleaning Crew is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe processing environment in accordance with company procedures and food safety requirements. This position involves cleaning and sanitizing processing equipment, floors, walls, drains, work areas, and other facility surfaces. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, comfortable working in a fast-paced food production environment, and able to work around water, cleaning chemicals, and varying temperatures. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Clean and sanitize egg processing equipment and production areas. Follow established cleaning and sanitation procedures. Use pressure washers, hoses, brushes, foaming equipment, and other cleaning tools. Clean floors, walls, drains, conveyors, machinery, and other facility surfaces. Properly handle and use cleaning and sanitizing chemicals according to safety procedures. Remove food debris, egg residue, and other waste from production areas. Maintain sanitary conditions to help meet food safety and regulatory requirements. Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). Follow all company safety, food safety, and sanitation policies. Report equipment, maintenance, safety, or sanitation issues to supervisors. Complete required cleaning checklists and documentation. Work effectively as part of a cleaning and sanitation team. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous industrial, food processing, janitorial, or sanitation experience is preferred but not required. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Dependable attendance and punctuality. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to safely handle cleaning chemicals and sanitation equipment. Must be able to work in wet and physically demanding conditions. Food processing or HACCP experience is a plus. Cannot own or come into frequent contact with birds. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and climb as needed. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to work in wet, humid, cold, or warm production environments. Ability to wear required protective clothing and equipment for extended periods. Schedule This position requires evening, overnight, weekend, and holiday work .
