Overview We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Part-time Janitorial Worker to join our facilities maintenance team. Responsibilities Perform cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal to keep all areas spotless. Handle cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and vacuums. Use appropriate chemical agents following safety protocols to sanitize surfaces and ensure hygiene standards are met. Maintain floors through buffing and floor care procedures to preserve their appearance and safety. Follow all safety protocols related to chemical handling and custodial procedures to prevent accidents or injuries. Support basic facilities maintenance tasks, including minor repairs or reporting issues requiring professional attention. Experience Prior janitorial or custodial experience is highly desirable but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate. Familiarity with cleaning techniques, equipment operation, and sanitation standards is a plus. Experience handling chemical agents safely and understanding safety procedures related to cleaning products. Ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting while adhering to safe lifting practices. Customer service skills are beneficial for interacting politely with staff or visitors when needed. Basic knowledge of facilities maintenance or commercial cleaning practices will help ensure efficient task completion.
