Responsibilities Perform comprehensive cleaning duties across commercial spaces, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal to maintain a spotless environment. Execute specialized floor care tasks such as scrubbing, buffing, waxing, refinishing, and polishing floors to ensure they remain durable and visually appealing. Handle cleaning equipment and chemical agents safely and effectively, including floor cleaning chemicals and custodial supplies. Conduct carpet cleaning and floor refinishing projects using appropriate tools and techniques to extend the lifespan of flooring surfaces. Manage manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting of furniture, equipment, or cleaning supplies while adhering to safety protocols. Maintain high standards of customer service by responding promptly to client requests and ensuring their satisfaction with cleaning services. Follow environmental services guidelines by properly handling chemical agents and disposing of waste responsibly to promote eco-friendly practices. Skills Proven experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services with knowledge of janitorial procedures. Expertise in floor scrubbing, buffing, waxing, and floor care techniques tailored for various surfaces such as tile, vinyl, hardwood, or carpeted areas. Ability to operate cleaning equipment including floor buffers, polishers, carpet extractors, and other machinery efficiently. Strong understanding of chemical agent handling with an emphasis on safety procedures for floor cleaning chemicals and other custodial products. Physical capability for manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking during shifts. Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude towards client interactions. Knowledge of environmental services practices to ensure safe chemical use and waste disposal compliance.
