Responsibilities Perform comprehensive cleaning of office spaces, restrooms, break areas, and common zones using appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies. Handle chemical agents safely, following all safety protocols for storage, usage, and disposal to ensure a hazard-free environment. Operate floor buffers, scrubbers, and other custodial equipment to maintain pristine floors through buffing, polishing, and routine care. Conduct manual handling tasks such as lifting heavy cleaning supplies or furniture while adhering to safe lifting practices. Maintain sanitation standards by disinfecting surfaces regularly and ensuring all areas meet health regulations. Assist with minor facilities maintenance tasks including light repairs or reporting issues promptly for resolution. Support overall cleanliness through trash removal, replenishing supplies, and ensuring the workspace remains organized at all times. Qualifications Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings with a strong understanding of cleaning procedures. Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and chemical sprayers. Knowledge of chemical handling safety procedures and proper use of cleaning agents to prevent hazards. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following safety protocol adherence. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high sanitation standards. Strong customer service skills to interact professionally with staff and visitors when needed. Prior experience in facilities maintenance or portering roles is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided on specific tasks.
