A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Job Description
The Church and School of St Peter in Forest Lake, MN has an immediate opening for a Full Time Custodian to join the Parish Maintenance Team. This role is eligible for full benefits including paid time off, health and dental coverage, 403(b) plan, HSA, and flexible spending accounts, subject to plan terms. This position is for 8 hour days Monday - Friday during our core day time hours. Some flexibility is required to cover vacations and special Parish events. Employment in and by the Roman Catholic Church (hereinafter Church) is substantially different from secular employment. Church employees must conduct themselves in a manner which is consistent with and supportive of the mission and purpose of the Church. Their public behavior must not violate the faith, morals, or laws of the Church, the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis, and the Church of Saint Peter in Forest Lake, such that it can embarrass the Church or give rise to scandal. This position does not require that an employee be an active participating Catholic, however it is expected that the employee will have an understanding of the rich tradition and doctrine of the Church and will uphold and enforce the teachings of the Church.
