Pinewood Elementary School Centrally located on Interstate 94 less than 25 miles northwest of Maple Grove and 30 miles southeast of Saint Cloud, Monticello is home to five brick and mortar schools and two nature-based facilities serving more than 4,000 students annually. Monticello consistently ranks in the top 50 school districts in the state as measured by a number of organizations and metrics, and performs above the state average in graduation rates, test scores, and early college opportunities. Head Custodian / Pinewood Elementary Monticello Public Schools Monday through Friday 6:00am - 2:30pm Full-Time Position -
Immediate Availability Job Summary:
Provide custodial support, advanced mechanical repairs, and leadership skills for the School District in order to provide a clean, safe, and healthy learning environment for students and staff. Review the job description attached for details.
Education/Certification Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent required. First class (c) boiler license required Valid Minnesota driver's license required.
Experience:
Previous lead supervisory custodial experience preferred or other related experience required. Previous experience in education setting preferred.
Essential Skills Required:
Provides work direction for custodial staff at building site,responsible for coordinating time off request and obtain substitutes when required Responsible for energy management systems and safety issues at building site; must comply with all district policies regarding asbestos, right-to-know and air quality Assist Building and Grounds Director with supervising and working with outside contractors Perform all general maintenance of building and grounds Responsible for maintaining all equipment Must maintain outdoor grounds, including parking lots, sidewalks and doors in winter and lawn/landscaping in summer Orders materials and supplies/maintains inventory Assist Building and Grounds Director with building maintenance budget and record keeping Works well with administrative staff, teachers, cooks, building staff, community education, other custodians and community members Maintain confidentiality of information about students, families and staff Experience working with diverse students and families Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and occassionally lift 75 - 100 pounds
