Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Janitorial Maintenance professional to ensure the cleanliness, safety, and overall upkeep of our facilities on 1st Shift, 7:30a-3:30p . In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining a pristine environment by performing cleaning tasks, handling custodial duties, and supporting general facilities maintenance. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will contribute to a welcoming and hygienic space for staff, visitors, and clients alike. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, and sanitizing surfaces to uphold high standards of cleanliness. Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and other custodial tools safely and efficiently. Handle chemical agents with care, adhering strictly to chemical handling safety procedures to ensure safe use and storage. Conduct floor care activities including buffing, polishing, stripping, and sealing floors to maintain their appearance and longevity. Support facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs, painting (including residential painting), and general upkeep to ensure the facility remains in excellent condition. Follow safety protocols diligently during all cleaning and maintenance activities to prevent accidents or injuries. Assist with heavy lifting tasks using safe lifting practices when moving furniture, supplies, or equipment as needed. Requirements Previous janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and proper use of cleaning equipment. Ability to handle chemical agents safely following established safety procedures. Experience with floor buffers and other floor care machinery is a plus. Strong manual handling skills with an emphasis on safe lifting practices and injury prevention. Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with staff and visitors when necessary. Basic facilities maintenance skills including minor repairs and painting are desirable. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining attention to detail.
