Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all facility areas. Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, and vacuums to maintain high standards of cleanliness. Handle chemical agents safely while cleaning surfaces, floors, restrooms, and common areas in accordance with safety protocols. Conduct floor care procedures including buffing, polishing, and deep cleaning to preserve flooring integrity. Assist with light maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, minor repairs, and ensuring facilities are in good working order. Follow safety procedures during heavy lifting and manual handling to prevent injuries and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Maintain sanitation standards by adhering to proper chemical handling safety procedures and sanitation protocols. Requirements Proven custodial or janitorial experience with knowledge of commercial or industrial cleaning practices. Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, and other custodial tools. Ability to handle chemical agents safely following established safety protocol guidelines. Strong manual handling skills with an understanding of safe lifting practices for heavy objects or equipment. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards throughout the facility. Good communication skills and a customer service-oriented attitude to support a positive environment for staff and visitors. Prior experience in facilities maintenance or industrial cleaning is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
