A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.
Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented General Cleaner/Janitor to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and safety at our client's facility. In this role, you will execute daily sanitation tasks, manage supply inventories, and deliver exceptional service to ensure complete client satisfaction. This position is Monday-Friday, it is a part-time position with the opportunity for full-time in the future. It would be a 2nd shift position, with locations in downtown Asheville and Weaverville.
Key Responsibilities Sanitation:
Clean and disinfect restrooms, breakrooms, and public spaces daily.
Waste Management:
Empty trash and recycling receptacles across all office and common areas.
Floor Care:
Vacuum, dry mop, and wet mop designated flooring surfaces.
Inventory Control:
Stock restrooms and janitorial closets with necessary supplies.
Safety & Compliance:
Handle commercial cleaning chemicals safely according to protocols.
Qualifications Experience:
6+ months of commercial, office, or industrial cleaning experience preferred.
Technical Skills:
Ability to safely operate small commercial cleaning equipment.
Competencies:
Strong time management skills, independence, and the ability to follow manual instructions.
Physical Ability:
