Sanitation Lead

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sanitation Lead to oversee cleaning and custodial operations within our client's Winston Salem facility. This role is essential in maintaining a safe, hygienic, and welcoming environment for staff, clients, and visitors. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive janitorial and hospitality experience, and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness. As a Sanitation Lead, you will supervise cleaning teams, ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, and implement efficient sanitation procedures across all areas. Responsibilities Sanitation Lead will Supervise and coordinate daily cleaning activities to ensure all areas meet cleanliness standards. Sanitation Lead will lead and motivate janitorial staff, providing training on proper cleaning techniques and safety protocols. Sanitation Lead will Develop and enforce sanitation schedules for routine cleaning tasks including laundry, trash removal, and surface disinfection. Sanitation Lead will Monitor the use of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring proper handling and inventory management. Sanitation Lead will Conduct inspections to verify the quality of work performed and address any deficiencies promptly. Sanitation Lead will Maintain compliance with health regulations and safety standards specific to hospitality or institutional environments. Sanitation Lead will Collaborate with management to develop cleaning protocols that optimize efficiency while maintaining high standards. Sanitation Lead will Provide leadership during staff onboarding, performance evaluations, and ongoing training initiatives. Sanitation Lead will Manage documentation related to sanitation procedures, safety incidents, and inventory logs. Sanitation Lead will Foster a culture of cleanliness, teamwork, and continuous improvement within the custodial team. Skills Proven experience in cleaning, custodial work, or janitorial services within hospitality or commercial settings. Supervising or management experience leading teams in sanitation or housekeeping roles. Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment operation, and safety procedures. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff and manage multiple tasks efficiently. Familiarity with laundry operations and commercial cleaning practices. Ability to uphold high standards of cleanliness while adhering to safety regulations. Effective communication skills for training staff and coordinating with management. Demonstrated organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining sanitation records.
