Job Description

The Environmental Services Housekeeper plays an important role in maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment throughout the hospital. This position supports infection prevention, patient satisfaction, and overall facility safety by following established cleaning procedures and safety guidelines.

This is an entry-level role, and training is provided.

The Environmental Services department consist of three shifts1ST7:00AM 3:30PM Every Other Weekend2nd3:00pm 11:30pm3rd6:00pm 2:30am or7:00pm 3:30 am3rd A Day in the LifeAs an Environmental Services Housekeeper, your day focuses on keeping the hospital clean, safe, and welcoming. Youll clean and disinfect patient rooms, restrooms, hallways, offices, and common areas while removing trash and soiled linens and properly disposing of waste.

Youll restock supplies like soap, paper products, and hand sanitizer, respond to spills or special cleaning requests, and safely use cleaning chemicals and equipment as trained. Throughout your shift, youll communicate professionally with patients, visitors, and staff, report any maintenance or safety concerns, and follow all infection control and hospital safety policies.

Youll also take part in safety huddles, training, and department meetings, and help with other duties as needed to support hospital operations.
