What they do
A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

SUBSTITUTE SCHOOL CUSTODIAN POSITIONS STARTING SEPTEMBER 2026
Farmingdale Public School, Monmouth County, NJ Substitute school custodians needed to perform regular custodial duties and miscellaneous setups as required for building needs and job description requirements.TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
3 Shifts available: 8 hour shift- Monday through Friday; 7:30am to 3:30pm 4 hour shift
- Monday through Friday; 3:00pm to 7:00pm 4 hour shift
- Monday through Friday; 5:00pm to 9:00pm Hourly rate: $21.
