Job Overview The School Day Porter is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and safety throughout the school during operational hours. This position helps ensure a clean, organized, and safe environment for students, staff, and visitors. Responsibilities Maintain cleanliness of classrooms, hallways, bathrooms, cafeterias, and common areas Restock paper towels, soap, and restroom supplies Clean spills and respond to cleaning requests throughout the day Remove trash and replace liners Sweep, mop, vacuum, and disinfect assigned areas Assist with school setup and cleanup as needed Follow all cleaning and safety procedures Report maintenance or safety concerns to supervisors Requirements Must be reliable and punctual Must be able to communicate in English as needed Must be able to work in a school environment Background check is required Previous cleaning, janitorial, or porter experience is preferred Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Skills Dependability Attention to detail Communication skills Customer service Cleaning and sanitation knowledge ABS Facility Solutions LLC is an equal opportunity employer.
