Schedule:

Part time, with potential for full time hours based on contract needs.

Role Summary :

Under the direction of a Project Manager, the Floater Custodian performs routine cleaning at LifeROOTS contract locations. This position travels between assigned locations as needed to provide coverage. Essential Duties Clean assigned areas by vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting, cleaning glass and drinking fountains, removing trash, and restocking restrooms. Clean and sanitize restrooms, including sinks, toilets, and urinals. Use custodial equipment, including vacuums, mops, and floor care machines, as assigned. Move furniture as needed to complete assigned cleaning tasks. Report safety, sanitation, and fire hazards to the Project Manager. Follow assigned schedules, cleaning procedures, and LifeROOTS safety policies. Participate in applicable quality improvement and health and safety activities. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements Beneficial Skills and Experience:

Custodian should have strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Proven practice of monitoring/assessing performance of oneself, other individuals, or organization to make improvements or take corrective action.

Conditions of Employment:

Fingerprints, background check, and drug screen. Must be at least 18 years of age. Must have own vehicle with proof of insurance.

Physical Challenges:

Must be physically able to perform the essential functions of the position without hazard to self or others. The work is non-sedentary, requiring walking, frequent bending, lifting and carrying 60 pounds occasionally.
