Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Porter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a welcoming environment for both staff and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance tasks, contributing to the overall functionality and appearance of the premises. Duties Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, and dusting to maintain cleanliness in designated areas. Carry out janitorial duties such as emptying trash bins, cleaning restrooms, and replenishing supplies as needed. Conduct floor care activities including buffing, waxing, and polishing surfaces to ensure high standards of cleanliness. Assist with custodial tasks in both commercial and residential settings as required. Support facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs or maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel. Maintain an organized storage area for cleaning supplies and equipment. Ensure compliance with safety protocols while performing all cleaning duties. Requirements Must pass a 7-year background check Previous experience in janitorial or custodial roles is preferred. Familiarity with floor care techniques and equipment is a plus. Experience in commercial cleaning or industrial cleaning environments is advantageous. Basic knowledge of facilities maintenance practices is desirable. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work. Good physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks throughout the shift. Porter experience is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential.
