Job Description:
SUNY Delhi seeks a dynamic, forward thinking,, and engaging 2nd shift Supervising Janitor (Temporary) to join the Facilities/Custodial Department. SUNY Delhi prides itself on being a welcoming college community for all. As a Supervising Janitor, you would supervise a staff of Janitors and Cleaners and may be responsible for all cleaning activities for the entire campus. Incumbent will plan and schedule staff assignments and cleaning services, supervise the proper distribution and control of cleaning equipment and supplies, inspect buildings and assigned areas for compliance with

cleaning guidelines, and train new staff. May be required to prepare reports such as work activity, and supervise the arrangement of set-ups for special occasions. You would also interview and select staff, establish training standards and train new staff, resolve personnel problems, and evaluate work performance.
Requirements:
Must have two years of satisfactory full-time experience in the custodial care or cleaning of buildings. One year of the experience must have been at a supervisory level. Incumbent must be able to effectively supervise staff, read and follow instructions, and work as a collegial team member Must have a valid unrestricted drivers license
